Laptop theft at children’s hospital

The BBC reported that a computer was taken from a secure area in Great Ormand Street Hospital in central London.

The article indicates that the computer stolen contains information on 458 patients, including names and dates of birth.

However, the hospital spokesman said that as no contact details were stolen it is “unlikely the information could be used by anyone with malign intent.”

Currently, no hospital employees are suspected to have stolen the computer.
